January can be very unforgiving to those in the northern climates.  On the other hand, Louisiana enjoys fairly mild winters with the temperature dipping below freezing for only brief periods of time. Still, I do so enjoy a warm fire and the smell of freshly baked scones and shortbread coming from the kitchen. A jar of  delicious Fresh Lemon Curd on hand. February is right around the corner and soon it will be time to share and celebrate love. Valentine’s Day is a great opportunity to recognize those people who are so special in our lives. Beginning January 20^th, by popular demand our shop will be open from 9am – 2pm every Friday!  We will have freshly baked items, as well as Georgie’s famous Lemon Curd Cheesecake, Shortbread Apple Torte and the Millionaire Shortbread.  Quiches and Seasonal Soups will also be available. You can order your Valentine gifts and Mardi Gras treats online or in person.  Be sure to mark your calendars and stop by!
